Renovations coming to the mall?
Just went to Westfield Gateway Mall with a friend, and saw a bunch of guys with sketches wandering around talking… are we in for some changes? I haven’t been there in awhile, and was surprised to see the Yankee Candle store and new Toys “R” Us store.
Jack & John, here I come…
For months, these dudes named Jack & John beat me up on the radio about the way I wrote about an arena ballot proposal. Well, now that I’m no longer a reporter whose bosses won’t let her go on the air to defend myself (even though some of our sportswriters and entertainment writers have regular radio gigs), I’ve agreed to go on the air with Jack & John tomorrow morning around 7:30 (even though I’d planned on sleeping in AGAIN).
Should be fun!
Council to consider later hours for “public dancing”
No I am not kidding. “Adult public dances” are indeed regulated by the city, and currently they’re only allowed until 1 a.m. But with the new ordinance allowing bars to stay open until 2 a.m., this law needs to be changed to get in sync. Meeting starts at 3 p.m. at city hall. If you’re really, really bored. And want to dance until 2 a.m.
