Dirt moving east of Wilderness Hills

by Deena Winter

Anderson Ford has begun moving dirt to make way for a new sales and service facility straight east of the Wilderness Hills commercial area.
Now the question is, when is something going to start happening at Wilderness Hills itself? (You know that largely-idle shopping area south of Williamson Honda?)
If anybody knows what’s up there, drop me a line.

Hey, Deena, I hear the true Commercial empty retail space in Lincoln is over 50% rather the 10% or so that LJS has reported. This info from an owner of a lot of retail space in the
    city.

One reason is THERE IS WAY TO MUCH RETAIL SPACE FOR LEASE TOWN! God can’t anyone see that. As for the area by KOHLS in south Lincoln, they want way to much for the spaces. There would be lots more places open up if the owners were willing to deal and give them some bang for the bucks. Take Clocktower Center on 70th & “A”. You want an aggressive mall owner go see Susan Coffee there. She and her husband have done wonders there. That mall is becoming one of the nicest in the city. She will work with you to get you into one of the spaces. This is a mall that 12 months ago was over 1/2 empty, now it is about 75% occupied, they have fixed it up so nice. Go and take a look at all the new stores that have come in over the last year. It’s a great visit. I say congratulations to Susan and her husband for making Lincoln a better place to live.
