Breaking news: Heineman calls special session to deal with Keystone pipeline

Gov. Dave Heineman has called for a special legislative session — beginning Nov. 1 — to deal with the Keystone XL Pipeline, which a Canadian company wants to build from Canada to the Gulf Coast.

    I’d love to know how much this special session will cost us as taxpayers. Can you follow up on that once it is complete, Deena? Thanks much.

      I’ve heard $10,000 per day.

    Channel 8 says $140,000 if they finish in two weeks-more if not. It is a waste of taxpayers’ money. It is a done deal.
